Hi Hilary, me again... I have an old TV with which I would like to be able to run a DVD player and/or digi box. All these appliances seem to operate via Scart cable, but my poor old telly only has an aerial socket. There is not even a connection for the three cables sometimes used. Is there anything I can do. Bad news I am afraid that telly of yours with just an aerial socket, sadly cannot be used for DVD watching or FREEVIEW. Previously on these old TV's, the chassis was 'live', making 'outside world' AV connections impossible, unlike the more modern ones with SCART connectors.
Sorry! but all it can ever do is analogue TV signals through its aerial socket.
