A really good 6 megapixel camera with the ability to output 12 megapixel images.
As you can see from the in-hand shot, it is quite large in comparison with most current cameras, but it has an excellent 4x zoom, a very clear screen, an optical viewfinder, an excellent movie mode with sound and produces lovely natural, bright photos.Hilary's conclusion: A very nice, capable, easy-to-use camera.
