Portable solar charger. Really great must have gadget! The unit consists of a battery pack and two clip on solar'wings' when assembled (see photo) the unit is placed where it will receive maximum UV rays, either on a window sill or on a car dashboard (must be securely fixed) and charging is confirmed by 2 green LED's. Initial charging of the internal Li-Ion battery can be done via a USB cable(supplied) to your computer and takes 3 hours. Once the battery pack is charged you can then use it to charge or run masses of different electrical devices! The range of adaptors supplied is very impressive and covers: LG Chocolate Mobiles, various Motorolas, Nokias and Sony Ericsson mobiles, Sony PSP Tom Toms, PDAs and digital cameras!

I am testing one of these devices and it is charging my iPod Nano on the windowsill! (More sun please!) Although overcast the green LED's are shining brightly, I will let you know how well it fairs under all conditions and with a range of portable devices, but so far so good!
