iTech Virtual Keyboard

05/02/07

The Virtual Laser Keyboard (VKB) uses both infrared and laser technology to generate an invisible field and project a full-size virtual QWERTY keyboard on any surface.
You can use the VKB (Virtual PC Keyboard) with both your laptop and PC or with a compatible mobile device, Smartphone and PDA.
The I-Tech VKB reacts exactly like a real keyboard.
Direction technology based on optical recognition enables the user to tap the images of the keys, complete with realistic tapping sounds(!), which feeds into the compatible PDA, Smartphone, laptop or PC.
The keyboard links to your Palm,Pocket PC,Smartphone,Windows PC or Symbian phone following loading the driver onto your device(a CD is supplied with all the latest drivers),you connect via Bluetooth and pairing with the virtual keyboard means the two can communicate. This means you can then type normally on any flat surface and your typing is displayed on your devices screen, as if by magic! This is an incredible device and definitely has the 'WOW' factor, especially when you type and hear realistic, conventional keyboard clicks!
A very useful gadget if you like to type with a large keyboard(instead of your PDA's tiny keyboard) and space is limited. Remember there are no wires!

The unit comes with driver/Installation CD
Charger (The unit once charged lasts for up to 2.5 hours with its internal lithium battery)
Protective case.

Expect to pay: £80-£100
