Sony Ericsson Z710i
Guide price: £150.00
Compact, clamshell mobile phone. Chubby and not the most atractive phone from Sony Ericsson, but fully featured and capable. The Sony Ericsson Z710i mobile phone definitely has class. Trendy yet tasteful. Contemporary yet chic. But, as we all know, looks aren't everything. So is it any good?
Excellent news - yes, it is. Just look at the outside and you'll notice a 2 megapixel camera above the external display screen. A friendly interface makes it easy to capture high-quality images, whether you're taking photos or recording video clips. Flip the Z710i open and there's a proper web browser available on the high-quality colour screen, along with RSS news feeds for regularly-updated information from the internet. An email program is included as well.
Sony Ericsson handsets have a proud heritage of mobile entertainment - and the Z710i is no exception. A radio with RDS tuning will help you find your favourite FM stations, while the phone's music player lets you store your own tunes. You'll also find games and the MusicDJ ringtone composer.
There's Bluetooth and infrared connectivity, PC-to-phone calendar and contacts synchronisation, quad band international coverage, 10MB of memory and an expansion slot for Sony's Memory Stick Micro. The Sony Ericsson Z710i is even ready for high-speed EDGE data when that's offered on UK networks. Yes, this phone is definitely sophisticated… in every sense.
