All-in-On Photo Printer. This Printer really is a cut above the rest, nothing special at all to look, with it's off-white and silver plastic rectangular casing but but this printer rocks! It really is a wolf in sheeps clothing with abilities way ahead of anything on the market, spot on colour accuracy, print quality really is outstanding, and print cartridges really do seem to last at least twice as long as the oppositions carts.
Setting it up is childs play with a printed 'quick start'guide, this involves installing the print head, which snaps in easily and the two cartridges(black & colour) Installing the Kodak EasyShare software which handles all of the printers functions. card monitoring, scanning and printing and then it's just a question of plugging in the power adapter, calibrating the print head, (another easy task) and you are ready to go!
This printer features a huge 3", sharp LCD screen, card slots for all of the popular memory formats, a double //USB//Pictbridge/Bluetooth/DirectPrint socket and of course an A4 scanning bed with fully removable lid. Buttons are kept to a minimum and although the unit is big and heavy it looks uncomplicated and purposeful.
Connecting to the computer through USB, allows the usual printing settings with one of the killer features to be revealed, printing of borderless prints not just at 4 x 6" and 5 x7" but 4 × 8" (10 × 20 cm)4 × 12". (10 × 30 cm)6 × 9"(15×23 cm)8 × 10" (20 × 25 cm)and A4! This is a very impressive development and means all photo sizes for all types of albums are covered! The printer is not silent, but not noisy and is fast, at this point Killer feature number two is revealed! Truly superb print quality with totally accurate colour reproduction! For the first time WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get)colour, nothing is oversaturated or false, just beautiful natural photo prints.
Scanning also has its killer features with the ability to scan assorted photos randomly laid on the scanning bed (and straighten them up)super fast document scanning and automatic optical character recognition.
I tested this printer to see how long the two cartridges really lasted and was genuinely impressed, the printer churned out 45 borderless A4 Best quality photo prints, 50 4 x 6" prints, 10 borderless 5 x 7"photos and numerous standard quality A4 Sheets before the LCD proclaimed the colour cartridge was getting low!

Hilary's Conclusion: This printer really is something different, nothing revolutionary on the outside but with really outstanding colour reproduction and photo results to die for! Please note though, for the truly photographic 'dotless' printing Kodak's own paper 'Ultra Premium Photo paper" was used.
