Kodak EasyShare G600

Kodak EasyShare G600 best buy

Guide price: £129.00

Compact, portable 6 x 4" photo printer. Very attracive, stylish, easy to use PC free photo printer with the option of a battery pack, for true take anywhere capability.

The printer is ready to go out of the box with a very easy slot in dye-sub printing cassette and a some sample paper (a rather measly 5 sheets of photo paper, only though!) A Kodak camera docks on the top and provides the display for the preview and printing options. The camera is also charged at the same time, which is a very useful facility, a USB socket is provided on the side for either a USB flash drive or connection to your computer, but without a Kodak camera docked on the top, or a camera connected via PictBridge or ImageLink((USB) there is no display!(Most digital cameras (from 2005) support either the PictBridge or ImageLink protocol so this printer is not completely restricted to Kodak cameras, although you will not get the charging function with another camera make.)

There are minimal controls, only 4 lit buttons and the square 'Print' button with the navigation collar round it(forward, back and options.) Printing options are selected via the cameras LCD display, and there are also 3 small LED lights that show camera charging, paper out and cartridge replacement.)

Printing is quiet and quick and a lovely, glossy print emerges after 4 runs through the machine after about 60 seconds! The print needs to go through the machine for its yellow, cyan and magenta and to be sealed with a tough laminate top-coat. Prints are ready for display immediately and are completely dry.

Kodak paper is super strong, waterproof, stain resistant, fingerprint proof and has an extremely long fade-free life and luckily this printer does print beautiful pictures onto it! Which means it could completely replace that trip to the High Street for your 6 x 4" printing and means instant gratification from your Kodak digital camera!

The EasyShare G600 printer can print these sizes as well:
Full size prints—4 × 6 in. (10 × 15 cm)
Credit card size (2 per sheet)—3 × 4 in. (7.5 × 10 cm)
Wallet (4 per sheet)—2 × 3 in. (5 × 7.5 cm)
Mini (9 per sheet)—1.3 × 2 in. (3.3 × 5 cm)

Compatible with:
PictBridge-enabled devices or IMAGELINK compatible digital cameras
KODAK EASYSHARE-One, C, V, P, and Z Series Digital Cameras

Options include a very impressive long-life Li-Ion battery pack, travel carrying case and various sizes of print packs (25-160 prints with printing cassette)

Conclusion: The more I used it the more I loved it! Superb quality, super tough, colourful prints everytime! Highly recommended!

Please check that your camera is PictBridge or ImageLink enabled before you buy if you don't have a Kodak camera. (All New Kodak cameras have a custom designed plastic dock tray included for docking with this printer)
