TomTom 910

Guide price: £499.00

Latest model widescreen SatNav. The Go910 is usefully more compact than the 700 it replaces, even if the screen is now wider. Both picture and sound quality are very good. The new top of the range model now has maps of the USA and Canada embedded onto the hard drive as well as the whole of Europe (as before). It also adds features such as a music player and photo album. The handsfree capability is an extremely useful safety feature (you need Bluetooth enable on your handset), and works well.

The 910 is as easy to use as its predecessor - and that means very easy! You use the touch screen to navigate around the simple and intuitive menus. As well as finding particular addresses and having the ability to have some say in the route chosen, the 910 will take you to points of interest, such as petrol stations and cash dispensers (very useful indeed) as well as museums, hotels, restaurants etc. Choosing and displaying the route takes a matter of seconds, and once on the move directions and clear and precise. This machine really does take the stress out of travelling.

The Go910 is not cheap, but it does come with plenty of accessories (e.g. remote control, home docking station, recharger) and is worth every penny in destressing journeys.

* Easy to use: Extra wide 4” LCD touchscreen gives you smart design and easy to use navigation literally at your fingertips.
* Maps of the whole of Europe, the USA and Canada on hard disk: Door-to-door navigation across Europe, the USA and Canada.
* Clear spoken instructions, including street and place names: TomTom GO 910 speaks some 36 languages in over 50 different voices and can even announce street and place names.
* Hands-free calling: Doubles as a hands-free car kit using Bluetooth® technology. So you can make & receive calls as you drive with just a touch of the screen.
* Smart extras: Built-in Mp3 player; 20 Gb (12 Gb free) of hard disk, enough for 1000’s of songs and pictures; remote control; and much more.

This unit can even convert text to speech so it can read out your SMS messages!

This product was superb until one day navigating in France(totally relying on it!) it completely failed!!! Lets hope this was just a one off faliure.
