Motorola Launches MOTO ROKR E8

Motorola, Inc. announced the UK release of the award winning MOTO ROKR E8™, which features cutting-edge, easy-to-use controls that allow a smooth transition from phone to music player to imaging device.

Using breakthrough ModeShift™ technology from Motorola, the ROKR E8™ brings you an uncompromised experience for music and talk. With the touch of a button, you can transform the ROKR E8™ instantly from music player to phone.

Designed for music, you can use Motorola FastScroll™ navigation to find the song you want with a brief roll of your thumb. The ROKR E8™ has enough memory to store up to 3000 of your favourite songs. Using Windows® Media Player® 11, you can access over 200 online stores worldwide and easily transfer, drag-and-drop your favourite music onto the device.

You can even share music with friends over the built-in speaker, break free from wires with stereo Bluetooth® wireless technology, or use your favourite set of wired headphones using the standard headset jack.

In phone mode, the ROKR E8™ provides outstanding voice quality using Motorola CrystalTalk™ technology – the powerful device lets you take calls while downloading or playing music, text messaging, surfing the Web or even taking pictures.

The ROKR E8™ has a full HTML web browser, so surfing the Internet is the same in your hand as it is at your desk, or at home on your laptop.

The face of the ROKR E8™ is a sleek seamless panel that features the first haptic touch pad from Motorola. This provides vibrating, tactile feedback when you touch virtual buttons – a perfect blend of art and science.

When powered off, the surface of ROKR E8™ is smooth, with no visible keys. When you power-on the device, it presents a virtual numbered keypad on the front surface. With one “press” of the virtual music key, the phone keypad disappears and control keys for the music player – play, pause, fast forward and rewind – appear in its place.
