Forget red robins, rotund Snowmen and bedecked Christmas trees and think Sienna Miller, Scarlet Johansson, George Clooney and Ewan McGregor. This Christmas is all about the photo Christmas card and as everyone from A-list celebs to Auntie Nora get in on the act, it’s time to think about whose Christmas card list you’d like to be on…
The latest research from KODAK GALLERY (www.kodakgallery.co.uk) reveals which celebrities the nation’s men and women would most, and least, like to receive a photo Christmas card from this year.
Men’s Top 5 Revealed:
Sienna Miller – the beautiful blonde finds herself at the top of the list, and rightly so for who would hide a card featuring the stunning Sienna Miller, actress and infamous ex of Jude Law, at the back of the mantelpiece?
Scarlet Johansson – Scarlet’s acting talents are undisputed, as are her seductive good looks which help push her into second place
Halle Berry – Bond Girl with a license to thrill, Hallie Berry would bring a touch of excitement to any photo Christmas card
Gemma Atkinson – Ex-Hollyoaks stunner Atkinson is currently topping the polls as I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’s hottest jungle babe and it’s just a short leap to festive sensation
Nigella Lawson – Nigella’s status as domestic goddess and queen of naughty Christmas treats has no doubt helped her slip in at number 5
Women’s Top 5 Revealed:
George Clooney – the ultimate heartthrob holds onto his throne, and his place in the female heart by stealing the top spot
Matt Damon – recently voted the sexiest man alive by People magazine, Damon’s photo would really turn up the heat this Christmas
David Beckham – the ageing footballer proves he still has it by making it in at number 3. Rugged, talented and stylish Becks would be a welcome addition to any festive scene
Take That! – it seems the boys are truly back for good! The current faces of M&S would no doubt work a similar magic on their photo Christmas card
Ewan McGregor – Scottish heartthrob whose motorcycle antics have really set the nation’s female heart racing
The KODAK Gallery (www.kodakgallery.co.uk) allows you to create personalised photo cards but before you upload your favourite pictures and order your photo Christmas cards, be warned that what’s on the front of your card can say more about you than what is written inside! It’s not always easy to get it right – just ask the Blairs or The Royal Family!
Eve Pollard, journalist and social commentator, observes, “Family portraits are synonymous with the US – we’ve all seen a Christmas card with specially chosen Christmas outfits and identikit smiles. Much like our aversion to the orthodontist, Brits tend to steer clear of such photos, opting instead for photos which show how cultured or well-travelled we are. At the other end of the scale are the more tongue-in-cheek shots, designed to make a mark on the mantelpiece!”
Last and definitely least:
Of course, there are always those who we wouldn’t want to receive a card from even if they can claim a number one single, possess a sizeable fortune or date supermodels… KODAK GALLERY can reveal that the men’s least favourite celebrities to receive a photo Christmas card from were Jade Goody and Amy Winehouse while the women’s list saw Posh Spice narrowly beating Jodie Marsh to the bottom slot
